Vintage 1950's Navajo Coiled Wedding Basket- Full 14" D

The information found with this wonderful ceremonial basket stated that it was a gift to our grandpa in 1952 and was from Gallup, NM. As with many items produced during that period, there is no signature and no information regarding its maker.

This wedding basket is a full 14" in diameter and is more than 2" deep. It has a traditional four direction center and supai design with spirit release. The rim is a traditional herringbone pattern. There is some minor fading on the front, however, considering its age, the basket is in remarkably good condition and remains very tightly woven.

We normally use USPS Priority or Media Mail, however, on larger items we use UPS. A handling fee will be charged only if additional packing is required. WE SHIP ONLY IN THE U.S.A.

All returns will be paid by the buyer and the item must be returned within 7 days.
