Amazing vintage 1950's or early
1960's black/orange satin brocade tuxedo/smoking jacket.
This is one of the coolest patterns
I've seen - tiny blocks of color, intertwined, like tilework or stained
glass.
There is black trim on the shawl
collar, chest pocket, hip pockets, and at the cuffs.
The brocade is woven with tiny
orange squares, some with an opposing weave, so the light catches them
differently (they look yellow in the photos but it's the reflection
of the flash), interspersed with tiny black squares.
The fabric feels like silk or
rayon. The jacket is fully lined and the shoulders are padded.
