1957 Gibson L-48 L48 Acoustic Archtop Guitar in very good condition.
1957 model Gibson acoustic archtop guitar. Has been in the
same family since purchased new. Features arched mahogany top (could be spruce
but most likely mahogany), bound body, f-holes, mahogany back, neck and sides,
14/19 fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay and adjustable rosewood
bridge down to a trapeze tailpiece. 3 per side Kluson Deluxe tuners with
original plastic tuner buttons.
This guitar is in very good condition with solid seams and
neck joint and no cracks or structural issues. It is a players guitar and as
such has normal dings and scratches here and there. Tuner buttons look to be original plastic with some shrinkage from age. The D tuner is bent but still functions well. Plays easy all up and down
the neck and has that great old vintage archtop sound.
Go ahead and reward yourself with a vintage Gibson archtop.
Hey you been around long enough to know what you want so go ahead and indulge
yourself! Even better - buy this classic archtop and add a soap bar pickup* and it will make a great sounding, "affordable", jazz
box.
*Note: This guitar is acoustic only and does not include an electronic pickup of any kind.

On Jul-08-08 at 12:22:32 PDT, seller added the following information:An old case is included as shown however it is not the correct case for this guitar so the fit is not too good. It serves to keep the dust off. Also the strap peg is missing from the right end (bottom).
