Up for auction here is a beautiful vintage 1960's McIntosh MX110 stereo tube tuner preamp, made in USA. This unit has been fully tested and inspected, and works 100%! It's ready to go and needs nothing but a McIntosh amp to plug it into (see our other auctions!). This tuner/preamp is amazingly clean, especially for it's age, with no worn lettering or faceplate issues. The tuner has great sensitivity and stereo separation. The preamp is clean and smooth, and sounds velvety. The wood cabinet was originally from another McIntosh unit, and although it fits very well, the "panloc" system does not interlock (as shown), which is mostly a non issue unless you're going to take it out for a jog! This ain't no iMac, this is the real thing! There's nothing like listening to a CD or phono record through a tube system. The definition and dynamics just can not be replicated!
