Up for grabs is rare find: A vintage ‘65 Fender Blackface Piggyback Bandmaster amplifier. The stamp on the tube chart ‘OL’ verifies that it was made in December of 1965. This piece was owned by a very knowledgeable musician, previous music retail storeowner and avid vintage amp collector. This amp was taken extremely good care of. The tolex is very clean for an amp this age. There are a few light marks and scuffs, the most notable of which is on the top and is photographed below. The volume pot for the normal channel has been replaced, and we believe that by the cleanliness of them that the grill clothes have been replaced, too. Also, the power caps have been replaced. Lastly, both speakers have been changed. They are both Jensen C12Ns, one with the serial number 2200511 (2005 model) and the other with the number 220608 (1966 model). It carries a pair of RCA 6L6-GC tubes, 2 RCA 12AX7s, 1 RCA 12AT7 and a coveted Amperex Bugleboy 12AX7/ECC83. Tube enthusiasts recognize this as one of the holy grails of the tube world. Anything we sell can be sent to you for a short approval period without obligation. We collect NO SALES TAX, unless you live in Kansas. The customer is responsible for shipping and insurance and must pre-pay back to us any freight and insurance charges on returned equipment. International shipping is available. Returned items will be refunded within 3 weeks of receiving the item. We’re happy to send any instrument “on approval” for five days, but ask the prospective buyer to pay shipping both ways and to reimburse us 2.95% for restocking and cleanup on any returned instrument.

Price includes a free setup by either of our two Gibson and Fender authorized luthiers, with your choice of strings and choice of setup specs. Please email or call us about other new and used guitars that we have available.
