These toys were made by Kenner in
1987-1988. With Bone Age Kenner really tried to do something different. They combined a building toy with an action figure
line. The basic elements of the series were dinosaur bones which you
could assemble into all sorts of creatures and vehicles.
Included are all of the skeleton pieces, the two Rock Bombs, Crag the Clubber (who is missing his right arm) and Crag's helmet.
With this set you can build a T-Rex skeleton, a bomber plane or a blattle fortress. Instructions are included, with easy-to-understand pictures.
One of T-Rex's arms has a spring at the "elbow" joint to throw the Rock Bombs (plastic). To throw Rock Bomb, place Bomb hole on claw finger of spring arm. Pull arm back and release for throw.
The bones have plastic stems and holes in them. The stems snap inside the holes to create a strong connection. They are large enough that a young child can do it.
Completed models are approx. 1.25 feet tall (or long, in the case of the bomber)
