An Absolutely Beautiful Silk Chiffon Bias cut Dress with Jacket & belt !
- Freshly acquired from an estate here in Upstate NY
- This Dress features:
- Outstandingly Bright Floral Print on Sheer Silk Chiffon
- A Wide, Fluttery Ruffle Collar which echoes the Fluttery bottom of the skirt
- Sleeveless
- Form fitting with unusual snaps on the side about even with the bust (Apparently for "snugging" once you're in the dress)
- Beautiful Short Jacket with very Wide Flounce ends on the 3/4 sleeves
- Also comes with a matching Chiffon belt that has the female end of 2 snaps on one end (Perhaps connecting somehow to those snaps on the left side seam near the bust)
- Dress itself Measures approximately 17" across shoulder, 20" armpit to armpit, 18" just under bust, 19" at waist (times 2 obviously), and approximately 58" long from shoulder to bottom hem.
- The jacket measures approximately 19 1/4" across the shoulders, 22" from armpit to armpit, sleeves measures 19" from shoulder to cuff (with an impressive 19 1/4" long flounce!) and the front placket (is that the right word?) measures 28" long from shoulder to hem.
- Overall Astounding Condition for the Delicateness of the Fabric! Colors are crisp, bright and vivid! There is a side seam that has come loose near the bottom of the skirt (about 12" of it) and a small piece of fabric seems to have been torn away from the bottom hem (Definitely re-sewable), there is a dime sized hole at the bottom hem and another 2" long thin separation from the hem right at the bottom as well. there is further seam separation under the arm pits. I saw one small water spot on the bodice and 2 tiny holes where someone wore a brooch at one time.
- Jacket is also wonderful each shoulder has about a 1" separation at the seam where it needs to be re-stitched and the rest has no holes, stains, wear spots or anything!
