Gorgeous vintage 1940's WWII era black crepe suit with big floral appliques on the shoulders.

This has a small collar and four big buttons up the front. The sleeves are bracelet length and fairly wide. The jacket is lightly tapered in the waist, and the skirt is a-line for a very flattering silhouette.

All this is good on its own, but the jacket is embellished with two big flowers on either shoulder in red, green, and pale blue. They're sewn on and have some sort of backing to make them puffy and textured - a great contrast to the smooth black crepe.

Neither piece is lined and the skirt closes up the side of the waist with buttons. The top of the skirt is a band of polished black cotton, but it is not visible when worn with the jacket.

Very good - it will need a drycleaning, as it has that "old crepe" smell (which is not [to me] a bad smell) and a tiny bit of ironing shine on the skirt. There's also some shine/wear on the inside of the collar (se photo)

My drycleaner makes me cry, so I leave the process to my buyers, who I hope have access to more skilled cleaners than I do.

The best way to determine whether piece will fit is to measure a similar piece of clothing from your wardrobe and compare the sizes.
