Up for auction is a vintage five piece USSR wood nesting or stacking doll. The smallest doll is 1 3/4 inches high and 3/8 inches in diameter. From the smallest the next one is 2 inches high and 5/8 inches in diameter, then 2 3/4 inches high and 1 inch in diameter, then 3 3/4 inches high and 1 1/8 inches in diameter. The largest doll is 5 3/4 inches high and 2 1/2 inches in diameter. It appears to me that there was a 6th doll at one time the would have been between the largest and the next one down. If it was there it is missing. Paper label on the bottom is in Russian. The only thing I can make out is the month October and the year 1978. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs.
BONUS ITEMS: Two non stacking wood dolls. They have the same dress pattern as the nesting dolls. They are 1 5/8 inches high with a diameter of 3/4 of an inch and 3 1/8 inches high with a diameter of 1 3/8 inches. Both of these bonus dolls are also in very good condition with no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs.
