This reversible jacket is a mystery
to me - everything about it leads me to believe it's from the 1950's.
The only thing that makes me question its age is the material. The interior
is nylon, like windbreakers or military wear. The fleece is supposed
to look like wool, but it doesn't quite feel like wool, and when I did
a burn test, it melted, and I think it is nylon as well.
This has black ribbed cotton
at the collar, cuffs, and bottom edge. The jacket closes with a brass
metal Conmar zipper, with a McGregor logo attached (this might not be
original, but it's consistent with the look of the jacket).
The jacket is reversible, with
white, black and red striped "fleece" on one side and a gray/blue
nylon (probably water repellent) on the other.
