  • DESCRIPTION: This set is sort of a stumper - made in a 60s style but with some older notions such as the zipper and jet beaded button. I believe it was homemade, and the sewer used some things that she had on hand to finish it. There are three pieces - a jacket, a skirt, and a top with attached underskirt.
    ♥ Unusual and striking black and pink brocade satin of tiny pink leaves on black
    ♥ Each leaf is beaded with four sparkling black glass seed beads
    ♥ Another mystery - what is the fabric? Burns like a silk blend, but I'm not sure what it is
    ♥ The sleeveless top has wide set scooped neckline and it extends down into an unhemmed underskirt where the pink & black weave changes / top has no closures - just slips over the head
    ♥ Skirt has set in waist band with hook and eye closure / Over the hook & eye, a large black beaded faux button is sewn on (see the close up image above) AND short 4" 1930s - 40s metal Talon zipper.
    ♥ Jacket is simple boxy cut with three quarter length sleeves cut all in one with the body / no closures
    NOTE: Auction is for three piece suit dress only, other items shown are not included.
  • LABEL: missing / appears home made
  • CONDITION: Very Good to excellent / there is one row of pink leaves across the left bust where the beading is gone. Also, a bit of beading missing near the top of the skirt - just under the waist on the front
