DESCRIPTION:

Information about Vera courtesy of the Vintage Fashion Guild label resource: Hannah Troy was a ready-to-wear firm that specialized in adaptations of Italian designs. Troy began her business in 1937 and remained open into the late 1960s. She was known for clothes that fit the petite woman, and specialized in both day dresses and evening wear. George Saman was the designer of the label in the late 1950s, and Murray Neiman did the designing in the 1960s.

Creme rayon / silk blend fabric accented with 3 large sparkly rhinestone buttons at the waistline
Sleeveless bodice with inverted pleat skirt
Fully lined in creme silk
Pinked seams
Bound buttonholes
Bra strap holders on inside of bodice at top of shoulders
Handset zipper
Fabric covered snaps

MEASUREMENTS: (All measurements are taken with the garment laid flat using a flexible sewing tape measure - not a metal tape measure. Bust, waist and hip measurements are doubled. These are the exact measurements of the garment. Please allow room for ease of movement. We suggest measuring a similar garment of yours and comparing it to the items measurements.

Bust: 36"
Waist: 30"
Hips: 50"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 15"
Dress length: 38" measured from top of shoulder to hemline
Zipper length: 19" center back nylon zipper

MATERIAL: Believed to be a rayon or rayon / silk blend fabric

LABEL: Murray Nieman for Hannah Troy

CIRCA: 1960s

CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. Upon inspection we did notice a tiny pin point spot at the center of the waistline below the attached belt. Also noticed one small very faint spot on the inside of the inverted pleat on the right side of the skirt. (It is inside the pleat so the pleat has to be opened to see the small spot.) A couple of extremely, faint tiny spots on the bodice. Also one super faint spot on the top of the right shoulder. If these last faint spots were not mentioned - chances are you most likely would not have noticed them. Please note that we have not spot treated or dry cleaned this dress. We do recommend dry cleaning this dress prior to wearing as it is vintage and been in storage for many, many years.
