Beautiful bright red 1970's wool
peacoat with gold buttons up the front.
This has a wide, notched collar,
horizontal hip flaps (with vertical slash pockets beneath), and the
gold metal buttons are stamped with a seal reading something like, "Spes
Nostra Es Oevs."
An inset pleat at the back gives
the "skirt" a bit of flalre, beneath the lightly tapered waist.
A double seam detail just above the pleat, lines up with the double
seam detail around the cuffs - love that.
The jacket is fully lined with
a tartan plaid wool, so it's heavy and quite warm.
