Fascinating account of recent voyages of exploration in the Canadian Arctic including the search for Sir John Franklin (never to be found).  This was would have been an up-to-date account at the time of publication. Original, not a copy, clipped from the magazine.  

As this is the first page of the April 1854 issue, it bears a masthead for the magazine, date, as well as title and a credit for the article under to the title:  From the New Monthly Magazine.  Please refer to the scan for reference. 

There is a stain on of the third page of the article, could be a small grease spot.  Also, a couple age spots or similar type of spots or stains in white space margins of a couple other pages. 

Full page measures 5-1/2" x 8-3/4".
