You are bidding on a vintage 1940’s Army and Navy Empress Brand needle book from occupied Japan. These books are mint and come with their original sleeve. They have never been used!! These are “The highest diamond drilled eyed sharps sewing needles.” I believe there are 29 needles total in each book. I opened up only one of the smaller packets on the left side of one book and it contained 5 needles. I did not open the other 3 but I must assume there are 5 needles in each of those and there are 9 larger needles on the other side. The lithograph is wonderful and quite colorful. It is stamped with “Made in Japan” on the front cover. This is a must have for any sewing or WWII collector! My home has always been a non-smoking home.
