This auction is for a vintage ASTATIC model M332-S Crystal Microphone.

It was manufactured by the ASTATIC Corp. in Ohio.

This microphone used to be my dad's. He used it (as well as another that is also being listed) for meetings and calling BINGO numbers. He passed away in 1980,and I feel that it is time to let go of some of things that have been just "hanging around" since. I also figure if I dropped dead tomorrow, most of his stuff (and probably mine too) would wind up in the trash, so I might as well see them go to good use!  Unfortunately, I don't have an amp in order to check it out, but it did work when it went into storage. I have no idea as to vintage, but I do know it was around when I was a kid in the mid to late 1960's. The case is metal with a "brushed crome" look to it.

Last year we had a tree come through our garage during a storm, and had a lot of things get damp. At the time, this microhpone was in the original box, but it got damp and mildewed. The moisture caused for "pitting" to form on the metal case and "stress" spring at the end of the wire.  I would say it is in good to very good  (not great) condition.  Also included with this microphone, are a couple of steel microphone stand mounts (some rust/peeling paint), as well as an adjustable plastic "desk" stand. I still have the box if the winner is at all interested, but it's pretty "nasty" looking!

This microphone is being sold AS IS!  I usually accept returns/exchanges, but due to the nature of this item, I don't know of any reason it would need to be returned...as they say..."it is what it is!" SOOOOOoo, take a good look at the pictures before bidding!
