You will be ready for Christmas decorating or ringing in the new year if you are the high bidder on this great set of brass sleigh bells.

There are 15 graduated antique brass bells ( smallest 1 1/4" to large center one 3" from edge to edge across the top) on a 47" leather strap. This wonderful set of bells was found in an old warehouse in St. Louis, Missouri. The bells are embossed with a design and are in great condition. The old leather strap is a little over 3/4" wide, near the end with the buckle are the numbers 8812, I have no idea what that means but I did want to note it. Each bell is inserted into a hole in the leather and a metal clip holds it secure. The bells make beautiful tones and will be a wonderful addition to a sleigh bell collection, a bell collection, holiday decorations, great Christmas gift for someone special or just a great conservation piece.

I have not tried to clean the bells or leather in anyway, that will be up to the new owner. If you have any questions feel free to email me. Thanks for looking at my auction and have a great day!!

 Q: Are these bells numbered? The number is usually on the open end of bell, opposite from where they attach to leather. Thank you! They look like a nice set!
A: Yes, they are numbered 2 (on the smaller) thru 9 (being the largest bell ), the #4 is not real visable, but on the other end you can make it out. I didn't notice them having numbers, thanks for pointing this out to me.... Continue reading
