Vintage Antique Christmas German Chromo Paper Nativity









Description

Being offered today is a wonderful Early paper chromolithograph Christmas Nativity from Germany. Size is about 11 1/4" wide by 13 1/2" tall, by 3" wide. There is a banner on the snow roof, stating " Gloria in Excelsis Deo ". It comes folded up flat and then folds out to stand up and be displayed, with a 3d effect. It is very old and fragile, and as expected, there is some edge pieces missing, as well as, it has been taped several times, over the years, some wrinkles and waves in the paper, some minor tears and discolorations. Now with all that said, it is still a great example of an old Chromo Nativity scene. The front view is beautiful, with embossed effects, while the sides and back are not as detailed. It has a written inscription on the front and back, along with the date of 1927. Ahhh the good ole days, when times were good and pure. Please use the supersized photos for details and actual condition. Thanx... for looking.
