Item specifics
Condition: ExcellentAccessories: Beautiful Blue Bonnet
Type: Porcelain

Up for auction is this Vintage Porcelain Bisque Doll that came from an Estate Sale.  I'm not sure of her exact age.   On the back of her it is marked Heirloom Treasures Doll.  The doll's dress looks handmade.  It is a beautiful dress and bonnet.  The bonnet gives her a much softer appearance.  I will send it to you.  The doll is 17 inches tall.  She has dark brown, almost black hair.  I re did all of her spiral curls.  Someone attempted to comb her hair and guess what-- Tangles !  Her hair looks great though now.  Her facial paint is perfect, and her eyes a beautiful blue that match her dress.  She has bloomers and white shoes and a bonnet that matches the dress.  The dress had an excellent seamstress and she must have been quite a designer to make a bonnet to match so lovely.  The dress snaps in the back and is really easy to put on and get off.  The only problem I see is that the elastic in her bloomers on her legs and arm sleeves of the dress and bonnet's back are stretched from age.  I have placed clear elastics on the sleeves of the dress so you really wouldn't notice and her bloomers don't fall down.  The bonnet is uneffected by the stretched elastic as well.  Nothing to get worried about at all.  I have included a pic with the bonnet, so that you can notice the softened facial appearance.  I couldn't put it on the doll after working so hard on the curls.  I just thought of another Idea to keep the curls in place.  You could buy bobby pins and slide them down over each curl.  Don't use hair spray.  I'm not sure why, but that is what the experts say.  This doll reminds me of the Little House on the Prarie type, including her clothes.  If you know when that time frame was, and I believe it was the Depression years, not ours  :-?  You might be able to figure out her age.  She is a very lovely doll.  She would make a great gift, or perhaps you would like to keep her for yourself.  I normally combine ship, but due to the delicate nature of this doll, I prefer not to.  I'm sure you would understand when you receive her.
