Vintage Antique Rare Golliwogg by Vigny Perfume Bottle

Vintage, extra rare and extra desirable in pristine condition Le Golliwogg by Vigny.

Measuring about 3.5 inches in height and about 2 inches in width, this extremely RARE, Golliwog Perfume Bottle was sold by VIGNY Perfumeries of Paris, France in the 1920’s. The bottle design and name are based on a character created by English woman, Florence K. Upton around the turn of the century. The bottle, itself, was (I believe) made by Verreries Brosse.  

This adorable, frosted glass piece remains in superb condition-no damage of any kind! It retains its darling, original paper label which is completely intact and in wonderful condition and reads, “ Le Golliwogg, de Vigny, Paris ” and features two of the Golli’s black hands, holding onto its big round belly!

The bottle has no perfume left inside. 

The Golliwog’s head is the perfume stopper, and the facial painting/enameling remains as clear and crisp as the day it was applied! His black seal fur hair retains its original black color with few shades of brown and is also in perfect condition! The Golly’s glass collar is painted/enameled white with black lollipops and his feet are accented in black.

Vintage perfumes over 7-10 years start to lose their freshness. The older the perfume, the less it may smell like its original scent. Please keep this in mind when bidding.

Feel free to ask questions prior/during the bidding, I will be more than happy to properly answer them all, and if needed take more photos for your inspection.

Please, verified PayPal users only. Allow 2-3 business days for handling. I will pack your precious partum bottle very carefully and professionally. I do combine shipping. Buyer to pay shipping, handling and insurance. I will fully insure your package if you wish, just let me know.

I will ship worldwide; the buyer is responsible for customs or duties. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your countries customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying

Some items are not allowed to be shipped to certain countries. Be sure to know the restrictions imposed by your country... Due to Pay Pal regulations and their seller protection rules, all shipments are required to have an online tracking number. All items being sent out of the country will, therefore, have to be sent Priority. If First Class is chosen instead of Priority, the Buyer assumes the risk as First Class cannot be tracked or insured.

All auctions final. Items are not sold on approval. If an item has been inadvertently misrepresented, buyer must notify me by email with 48 hours of receipt of the item. Email must state the reason.

Refunds made after the safe return of item in original condition with stickers/labels intact. Return of item must be made by USPS Priority with tracking and insurance within 7 days at buyer’s expense. Postage is not refundable.
