This vintage white ceramic art pottery faience vase was designed and handpainted for the internationally famed Finnish pottery company, Arabia, in Finland. This handpainted, which is actually hand glazed because it was glazed by hand with a non-removable glaze that was fired onto this vase in a high heat kiln, has the glaze also on the interior to prevent water from seeping through the unglazed underside of the vase where the Arabia marking was stamped into the terra cotta colored clay while the clay was still soft after it came out of the mold the clay was put into to create the four sided shape of this vase that was hardened in a kiln before it was glazed and then fired in a kiln to harden the glaze. This vase, that will hold water and live flowers, many of which are are grown in Columbia to help the citizens of that country to get out of, or not become involved in, the illegal drug trade people in Columbia have gained a reputation for being involved in, measures 6 1/2 inches in height and 5 inches in diameter across the widest area of the body. This vintage vase, which the original sale of helped to financially support citizens that live in democratic Finland, is in excellent condition as it is free of chips, cracks, crazing, scratches, hard water deposits, haze and stains. The areas where it looks like the glaze painting was missed are actually just white spots from the light I shown on the vase to get better photos of it. There are other photos of this vase at the end of the text in this auction. Arabia, which is located in Finland, is a pottery company renowned the world over for it's pottery designs. Finland is a socialist and capitalist democracy that repaid the debt it was put under by the Allies, headed by the U.S., after Europe was liberated from the armies of Nazi occupied Germany. Finland, a country with several religions, was forced to pay war reparations to the communist and atheist U.S.S.R. after Finland chose to be on the side of the Nazi occupied government of Germany after the U.S.S.R. had shown aggressive acts towards Finland along the border between Finland and the U.S.S.R., and the United States, one of the Allied Nations, had refused to become involved with protecting and liberating the nations of Europe from other aggressor nations. It wasn't until England came under attack from Germany after it declared war on Germany and the German navy blockaded U.S. cargo ships carrying goods, which included military arms and equipment made by U.S. businesses, from entering England, that the U.S. became involved in liberating the Nazi occuppied countries of Europe with the assistance of the people of those countries and the U.S.S.R. Finland was threatened by the Allies, which the U.S. headed, with being absorbed into the U.S.S.R., if Finland failed to repay war reparations for siding with Germany, a country that had not, even under the rule of the Nazi occupied government of German voter, democratically elected Adolf Hilter, banned the practice of religion as the one party communist U.S.S.R. had. Germany had made an agreement to come to the defense of Finland if it was attacked by the U.S.S.R. after the U.S. refused to become involved with protecting and defending it's allies and other democractic countries in Europe upon the request of the governments of it's allies and other nations in Europe to do so until U.S. made goods couldn't reach England. Finland repaid it's debt that was forced upon it after World War ll, by further developing it's decorative arts industries, housewares and furniture industries for which it won several international design awards after it exported goods made by these industries to stores around the world. Many of these award winning designs from Finland were once sold in U.S. stores after an import tax was paid to import these wares from Finland but are now rarely found in U.S. stores anymore as import tax free goods made in communist China, which bans the practice of religion and democracy, line the majority of store shelves in the U.S. unless those stores sell vintage wares or wares by famous designers from Europe and the U.S., or food. Many of these items that were, and many still are, made in Finland instead of China, can also be found on eBay. It was a Republican controlled Congress with President Bush at the helm that voted to remove all tariffs from goods made in China to the detriment of the U.S. workforce, the U.S. economy, the economy of Mexico, which the U.S. has a free trade agreement with that is called NAFTA and which was an idea that was come up with during presidency of President Bush's father and was pushed through Congress by President Clinton, after which the economy of the U.S. and Mexico boomed, and to the financial detriment to all Americans and the other peoples of the world who use oil products because of China's increased demand for oil after the tariffs were removed from goods made in China.
If you are the sort of person who has been led to believe that the citizens of the United States have it better off than any other country in the rest of the world and you like to spend all of your spare time absorbed in the various modes of self-gratification the citizens of the U.S. are stereotyped by many in the the rest of the world as being totally absorbed in and you feel that you have a life by vicariously living through the lives of others on television sitcoms, dramas, made for tv movies and endlessly watch crime, television talk and so-called reality tv shows where the participants play up and act out for the camera, or you spend endless hours following who is the latest person eliminated from some televised talent show so you'll have something to talk about with people at work, friends, neighbors, relatives or strangers you meet, and also spend other parts of your spare time complaining to others about the state of the U.S. and the world but do nothing to change it such as writing your representatives in government or joining a political action group or take the time to find out who to vote for to bring about positive changes for other human beings that also affects yourself while you don't spend any time dealing with the reality of how things really are and realize, or even care to find out, that many people struggle day to day with this reality in order to survive, then you probably should not read the following as you might not want to become educated about how day to day actions and inactions of people in the world have helped to create the world all of us now live in.
The majority of goods on shelves of U.S. are no longer American made as they once were. A very large quantity of goods sold by American based companies that line U.S. store shelves are now made in China, a country known the world over as having a total disregard for the environment and this disregard appears to be accelerating the process of global warming which is causing the meltdown of the polar icecaps which may leave many low lying American cities under water if measures are not taken to prevent this and these measures will be at U.S. taxpayer expense. China is raking in huge sums of money from selling goods to the U.S. even though China is not buying anything remotely close in quantity from the U.S. that the U.S. buys from China. It's been reported extensively in the Press that China now has the fastest growing middle class in the world. The Press usually leaves out that the growth of the middle class in China has been at the expense of the middle class in the United States as a large number of the multitude of companies in America that once employed loyal hard working workers within the borders of America to produce their wares, workers who helped to build these companies into large corporations and make these companies wealthy and politically powerful, have since deserted American workers to have their products made outside of the U.S. in order to maximize their profits. Good paying jobs for permanently employed production workers in the U.S. are becoming as scarce as snow in the Sahara as many companies that still employ production workers in the U.S. only use labor from temporary employment agencies so that they don't have to contribute to health insurance, vacation, and other employee benefits that were hard fought for and won, along with the outlawing of child labor, by organized labor groups in the U.S. A majority of the elected members of Congress who are paid with taxpayer money seem to no longer hold the interests of majority of the American people to heart as very few members of Congress have stepped forward to voice their objections to the provision of the U.S. Constitution not being enforced that provides for a seperation of Church and State that would strike down state laws that don't allow Gay men and women to marry because of the influence of religions that are against allowing Gay men and women to marry but are religions that take no issue with allowing convicted non-Gay child molesters, non-Gay rapists and non-Gay murderers to marry persons of the opposite sex. Over 60 percent of Americans surveyed have stated that they believe that Gay men and women in America should be able to get legally married in a civil union with another percentage of Americans recorded who do not care either way which far outnumbers, when those percentages are combined, those who reported they don't want Gay men and women in the U.S. to have the right to marry in legal non-religious civil unions, while reports are being made in the Press that the overall economy in California will be boosted due to the expenditures made by Gay men and women now allowed to legally marry in California. Members of Congress are legally allowed to receive gifts, free travel, meals, and free hotel accommodations along with campaign contributions from business lobbies and religious groups that are only interested in the profit line of the businesses that they represent and the beliefs of the churches they represent. A majority of the members of Congress have enacted laws in the U.S. that have removed all tariffs from goods made in China and a majority of the members of Congress have failed to enact laws that uphold the Constitution of the United States in regard to the seperation of Church and State, which is the supreme law over all other laws in the United States, because these members of Congress have been given so much in the forms of all the things legally allowed to be given to members of Congress by business lobbies and religious group lobbies for nothing more than their vote in Congress in order that companies in the U.S. that have their products produced in China can reap windfall profits and be better positioned to put their competition out of business, some of which still makes goods in the U.S., by having their products sold at a cheaper price than products made in the U.S. and so that religious groups can have their religious beliefs made into laws in the United States that deny equal rights in the United States to all citizens of the United States as provided for in the Constitution of the United States, which also has been used in the past to include the denial of equal rights to all women in the United States because of the preamble to the Bill of Rights which was used in the past to deny equal rights to all women in the U.S. because the preamble to the Bill of Rights states that all Men are created equal and this was and is used by some to mean that this excludes women because they are not men. Women in the U.S. gained the right to control their bodies when the Supreme Court made abortion legal in the U.S which resulted in driving down crime rates in the U.S. as crime rates had been on the rise before abortion was legalized and predictions were made that stated the U.S. would eventually become a police state as more and more limitations on rights guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution would need to be put in place and large numbers of law enforcement officials would have to be hired and trained to deal with the rising crime rate that never happened because a very large number of children were never born that would have otherwise been born of women who were living below or at the poverty line, many of them living in crime infested areas of the U.S. where their children would have had more opportunity to learn how to be a criminal than to find a job. Many of the women who received abortions and continue to receive abortions received little education or no education about the use of contraceptives to prevent unwanted pregnancies because religious groups who were and are against abortion successfully lobbied the U.S. government to ensure that funding was not provided for sex education programs in public schools that would have taught students who grow up to be adults uneducated about the use of various forms of contraceptives to prevent unwanted pregnancies and to prevent HIV infection, which has been determined by science to be the cause of AIDS. The Catholic Church holds the belief that it is against the will of God to engage in the use of contraception with the exception of the Rythem Method, a form of contraception which is accepted by the Catholic Church which has a very dismal rate of success in preventing unwanted pregnancies and does not prevent HIV infections. The Catholic Church runs on cash donations from primarily people who belong to the Catholic faith. Many of the followers of that faith are poor as the majority of people on earth live in standards below those of a minority of people on earth poor and struggle to feed the many children the Catholic Church has encouraged the Catholic poor to have by stating that God doesn't want His followers to engage in artificial means of birth control. This has resulted in more children being born into an already overpopulated world where mouths to feed have now outnumbered the amount of food produced in the world to feed them. Many followers of the Christian faith and the Jewish faith follow the scripture of the Old Testament in which God gives Man dominion over the earth and everything on it but the Old Testament does not define dominion over the earth as destroying everything on it by causing other species and plants to be driven into extinction, polluting it with toxins created by man to make parts of the earth and possibly all of the earth reach the point where it it is no longer inhabitable by humans, plants or other species, and overpopulating it to the point that other species can no longer co-exist beside man and plants can no longer grow in a world polluted with toxins created by man making things without regard for the earth and the plants and other species of the earth to sell to try to make profit off of the increasing number of humans on the planet. Many other religions hold the earth and all it's creatures and plants in high regard and don't believe in the unbridled exploitation and destruction of the earth but members of these religions are often forced to engage in practicing part of the areas of the Bible interpreted by some in the Christian and Jewish religions about having dominion over the earth in a destructive and exploitative manner in order that they can survive alongside Christians and Jews that feel that dominion over the earth meant God gave them permission to exploit and destroy the earth. Limiting the number of Catholics in the world with the use of contraceptives would severely affect the money in the coffers of the Catholic Church that states that it follows the teachings of Jesus, although Jesus as reported in the Bible, which Catholics are told to follow word by word by the Catholic Church, did not preach his sermons from large, ornately appointed churches festooned with gilded gold wood, stained glass, marble religious statues, frescos and paintings created by commissioned artists while he wore expensively made garments and headpieces made of expensive cloth and gold threads with jewelry on made of gold, precious gemstones and pearls as can be seen when the treasures of the Popes are on tour, in a large number of Catholic churches around the world and in museums at the Vatican. A tour of treasures of the Popes that went around to several museums in America a few years ago in order to raise money for the Catholic Church included photos of Popes being carried on divans by porters through crowds that looked liked the people in the crowds were worshipping the Popes like they were human deities. The Catholic Church forbid people the Catholic Church leaders of the Catholic Church called Heathens, from engaging in worshiping human or non-human representations of deities in any manner, although it's acceptable to the Catholic Church that the Popes and Catholic religion based statues, photos, paintings, prints and other sorts of representations acceptable to the Catholic Church hierarchy be worshipped and prayed to that represent individuals who some in the Catholic Church have voted on to be worshiped as having performed miracles, although the Ten Commandments of the Old Testament section of the Bible which Catholics are told by their church to follow, forbids human beings from worshiping any idol or being other than God. Photos, prints, statues, etc. are sold in Catholic Church run gift shops that Catholics are encouraged to purchase and pray to for miracles and other things that the purchasers of these items want to happen or to have in their lives. A large number of lands throughout the world that the Catholic Church stated were inhabited by Heathens, which was all people who did not belong to the Catholic Church, were conquered and the people of those lands were forced to accept the Catholic religion or be executed as Heretics, which was a name the Catholic Church came up with to describe anyone who either did not publicly or privately follow the doctrines and teachings of the Catholic Church. Priests in the Catholic Church were once allowed to marry and have children but once the Catholic Church determined that it could become even wealthier than it already was by becoming the owner of property, money and possessions of priests after the priests died, the Catholic Church forbid priests, although there is nothing in the teachings of Jesus that forbids anyone from marrying, from marrying, as then those things the Catholic Church desired that would be left to the wife and/or children of the Priest and not to the Catholic Church unless the Priest made those provisions in his will, would go to the Catholic Church instead of to a wife and/or children. Any Priest who did not follow that new set of rules that were set down by a Pope, resulted in Priests being required to abandon their wives and children if they didn't want to be tried and executed for being Heretics. The lack of putting tariffs on all imported goods entering the United States has been a major contributing factor to the current economic slump in America that is not affecting other developed countries of the world that put tariffs on all imported goods, most particularly the increasingly wealthy countries of Europe whose citizens sometimes refer in good humor to the U.S. dollar as the Peso in reference to how valuable their money is in comparison to the U.S. dollar in reference to how valuable the U.S. dollar used to be when compared to the low value money of Mexico. The majority of American workers put out of good paying production work can't put money back into the U.S. economy by buying things as they don't have a reliable income to do so when they are out of work. As factories across the U.S. were being closed, the Press reported that the U.S. would become a country with a service economy yet several of the call centers for large companies have also been taken out of the U.S. to countries where English is not spoken without a very heavy accent to the point that people in the call centers taking calls from Americans can barely be understood by most Americans. Not being able to be understood or to understand, by not being able to write, read and speak English is becoming more the rule than the exception in many parts of America as the U.S. government, along with many state and local governments and businesses, has engaged the use of taxpayer money and money that might otherwise go into raises for employees that work for those businesses to put public signs, business signs, job applications and other forms in both English and Spanish because some Spanish speaking people living in the U.S. refuse to learn the language of their adopted country after they moved here, for the most part, to find jobs and live in the U.S. because of the recessed or depressed condition of the economy in their own country. Many people born and raised in the U.S. and who were taught to speak only English are sometimes having a difficult time of finding jobs in the new service economy because many companies in the service industry won't employ Americans who don't speak Spanish along with speaking English but this doesn't seem to be an issue when it comes to employing Spanish speakers who either don't speak English or who can't speak English well enough to be understood by someone who speaks only English. The U.S. economy continues to slide downwards because of job losses to other countries which has resulted in unemployment figures rising while taxpayer money, which could be used to rebuild the infrastructure of the U.S. and which could give more people work like the W.P.A. programs did during the Great Depression, is expended inside of the U.S. to subsidize large agricultural corporations. Several business and several government officials say they want free trade and they say they don't want U.S. government run programs to exist in the U.S. because they consider that socialism, although social security and the current U.S. government run health care programs for the elderly and disabled are socialist programs and using taxpayer money to subsidize corporate agriculture in the U.S. is not free trade. The majority, if not all, of the democratic countries of Europe engage in both socialism and capitalism to the advantage of business within those countries and their citizens and not wholly to the advantage of wealthy individuals and businesses within those countries. Taxpayer money is also being spent by the current U.S. government in order to continue to engage the U.S. in wars and try to engage the U.S. in more wars that benefit the makers of military arms which also employs U.S. workers but only in the large numbers it currently does when the U.S. is at war. It seems that the Press, which is now becoming owned by a minority of wealthy individuals as anti-trust laws are not being enforced in the U.S., failed to mention that the service economy would also be moved out of the U.S. so that U.S. companies could maximize profits and that becoming a service economy would not necessarily mean that Americans would be receiving good service from the companies they do business with or be making wages that keep pace with the cost of living in most areas of the U.S. Unemployment rates in the U.S. are always higher than those reported by the government as people are no longer counted as being unemployed once their unemployment benefits have run out although many have not found jobs. The homeless people seen on the streets of America that the U.S. government doesn't seem to have the money to help as it engages in wars outside of the U.S. and rebuilding and repairing the damage those wars have created, are left to be helped, when possible, by cash strapped charities who receive donations from Americans who appear to be more charitable than the American government. While billions are shelled out in foreign aid to rebuild the countries that the U.S. has invaded, nothing remotely near that amount is spent on getting the homeless, many who carry medically treatable communicable diseases that can be given to others, off the streets or out of homeless shelters, most likely because the U.S. businesses that benefit from the rebuilding the havoc that has been wrecked on the infrastructure, homes and other buildings in other countries the U.S. has invaded won't be able to make the huge profits they make because they are regulated by laws inside the U.S. that require that they show they are actually building, repairing and maintaining the things that they are being paid to build, maintain and repair at the prices they won government contracts at to do the work they said they would do. Many of the homeless whose needs are not being attended to, live in a nation that still considers itself majority Christian, meaning a nation that follows the teachings of Jesus who administered to the hungry, sick and poor and who was Jewish so he also followed the Ten Commandments which includes not killing fellow human beings, even for acts of revenge in which others are killed who didn't engage in the killings they are being killed for, which seems to be standard government policy in both the U.S. and Israel, countries that don't seem even to practice the Old Testament belief of an eye for an eye as many more people are often killed in acts of revenge by the United States and Israel instead of a count being made of who was actually killed and maimed for which the United States and Israel are seeking revenge, as more often than not, multitudes more are killed and maimed in those acts of revenge than the number who were originally killed or maimed that brought about the acts of revenge by the United States and Israel. Many of the homeless in the U.S. may have once been employed but are not counted as unemployed if their unemployment benefits have run out. Many most likely lost their jobs as is the case with a multitude of workers in the U.S. because workers in the U.S. often cannot compete fairly with tariff free goods made in China where child and slave labor is part of the workforce in China. The homeless people living on the streets without a reliable source for food and health care in a Christian majority nation most likely don't have a taxable income, although some homeless people do as they hold jobs but can't afford housing and may or may not be part of a large group of Americans on a long list waiting to be given government subsidized housing which is being torn down in increasing numbers to make room for townhouses, shopping districts, expensive luxury condominium, apartment and hotel buildings that primarily cater to the wealthy in large cities because of job losses in the working class of large cities. Many of the working class live and had lived in U.S. government subsidized housing but U.S. government officials, along with the Press, have given the majority of Americans the idea that inhabitants of U.S. government subsidized housing in the U.S. are welfare recipients without jobs. The increasing numbers of homeless people in America are finding themselves not able to find jobs that they would contribute income tax from that goes into the general tax fund of the U.S., because many of the homeless do not have an address to give to potential employers in the U.S. and people without addresses in the U.S. are sometimes looked upon as being potential terrorists in the current U.S. political atmosphere. The U.S. infrastructure of roads, bridges and the rail system is decaying because U.S. taxpayers don't want an increase in their taxes that would be used to maintain, build and repair this infrastructure that is being worn out, in large part, by the bringing of goods made in China on the transportation entities of the U.S. infrastructure to U.S. stores. Some government officials who receive campaign contributions from health insurance company lobbies and lobbies for the medical industry are trying to convince a majority of Americans, and have convinced a majority of Americans in the past, that their income tax will go up if the U.S. has a national health care system. These lobbies try to convince Americans that the U.S. government, a government that used it's resources to wipe out the communicable disease, Polio, in the U.S. that at one time in U.S. history, used to maim, cripple and kill multitudes of Americans, is inept and can't run a national health care program although it doesn't seem to be inept at getting the U.S. into wars that benefit the medical industry as it gets paid by the U.S. government to attend to the needs of the mental and physical ravages wrought upon U.S. citizens who were engaged as volunteers and draftees in wars that are a result of propaganda perpetuated by the U.S. government that wars are fought by the U.S. to make the world safe for democracy, which many citizens of many countries show no interest in having after they see the reports of what democracy has done for homeless people living in the U.S. which is actually the result of unbridled capitalism overpowering democratically voted for social programs and ideas. Any increase in income tax for a national health care system would be offset by money workers save when they are covered by an national health care program yet still be able to visit private doctors at their own expense if they chose to. American workers covered under a national insurance program would be able to cancel their payroll deductions for health insurance that rarely gets used as the deductibles are now so high on those health insurance programs that are most times as high as or higher in cost to workers than what is currently being deducted in the form of taxes from the income of workers. Those taxes are are used to support health care programs run by the U.S. government that are only currently eligible for the elderly and disabled to use. Money from tariffs on imports sold on the U.S. market goes into the general tax fund that health care programs for the elderly and disabled in the U.S. currently draw from and these tariffs that are collected on imports to the U.S. also help to pay for the support of the U.S. infrastructure as money from those tariffs goes into the general tax fund of the U.S. from which monies are appropriated by the U.S. Congress to pay for the maintenance, repair and building of the U.S. infrastructure. The reason the postal rates keep going up in the U.S. is not because the Post Office is not making a profit, particularly with the advent of eBay which has increased the amount of shipping both domestically and worldwide and thus, the profits of the Post Office. The reason the U.S. postal rates keep going up, even though there are often long lines at the Post Offices in America because of a lack of staff hired to attend to customers and the conditions of the Post Offices and their grounds are often in a dismal state, is because the profit made by the U.S. Post Office also goes into the general tax fund instead of back into the Postal system. Congress appropriates monies from the general tax fund to buy arms from military arms making companies for the wars the U.S. keeps getting involved in that benefits the makers of military arms to the detriment of American lives and the U.S. economy. Nearly 1/4th of the money that goes into the general tax fund of the U.S. goes into military expenditures. Although the economy of Germany and Japan are both more viable than that of the U.S., money from U.S. taxpayers goes to keeping these countries protected should any other nation engage in acts of aggression on Germany and Japan as Germany and Japan, after World War ll, were stripped of all their military forces and although nearly 60 years have passed and both nations are now democracies and allies of the U.S., Germany and Japan are still not allowed to have military forces to protect themselves from acts of aggression by another nation or nations so the taxes on the income of Americans pays to protect these two countries and none of the tax money paid in the form of income taxes in Japan and Germany goes to support a military as neither country has one. America’s military age youth are not in an uproar over the wars the U.S. is currently engaged in because there is no draft because, although many Americans have a short memory when it comes to history and many war weary members of the military are returning to active combat several times as there are no replacements to take their place in Iraq and Afghanistan, several government officials and business leaders do not have a short memory and remember the violent protests against the Vietnam War conducted primarily by military age young people who were up to be drafted to serve in Vietnam, protests that were also engaged in by those who didn't want their youth killed in wars that weren't conducted to protect the lands of the U.S. Those protest marches were a strong determining factor in bringing that war to end which also put an end to the large sums of taxpayer money that was spent by the U.S. government to buy military arms from U.S. military arms producing companies that had, when the U.S. is at war, resulted in huge sums of money that these companies that make military arms used and continue to use to make campaign contributions to and buy things for U.S. government officials that are sympathetic to the needs of the wealthy owners of military arms companies. The price of gas is at record high prices and blame has been placed on the oil companies but the blame also rests upon Americans who purchase goods made in China as buying goods made in China contributes to putting Americans out of work, supports the communist doctrine and regime of China and perpetuates the ongoing increase in the consumption of fuel used by trucks within China and cargo ships on the seas from China destined for the U.S. to bring goods made in China to the U.S. China has increased it's demand for oil and that's the largest contributing factor in the increases for the price of oil as individual Americans have cut back on their use of oil. It takes oil based fuel to haul the goods to the ports of China by truck from the factories where the goods are made in China and then huge cargo ships that burn large amounts of oil leave the ports of China to bring those goods to the U.S. Those cargo ships then return, often times empty, to China, as these vast cargo ships are not full of U.S. made goods being sent to China that are made in the U.S. As the communist Chinese are becoming wealthier, the middle class of China will begin to purchase gas consuming vehicles so the rest of the free world should not expect the prices of gas to stay at the level they are now at as the law of supply and demand dictates that the price of gas will continue to rise as the demand increases. A majority of members of Congress seem to be set on rewarding China for having supplied North Vietnam with food, medical supplies and military arms which helped communist North Vietnam to win the war against democratic South Vietnam and the U.S. The once free people of South Vietnam became the unwilling slaves of the communist regime of North Vietnam after the U.S. and South Vietnam lost that war and many of the former citizens of South Vietnam have sought refuge in the U.S. The U.S. Navy had blockaded North Vietnam during the Vietnam war and it was made to appear that North Vietnam couldn't receive by sea what was instead sent down from communist China across the northern border of North Vietnam. The Vietnam War made several military arms makers even richer than they had become during the Korean War in which China aided the North Koreans in the same manner that they later aided the North Vietnamese. China continues to aid North Korea today and has supplied nuclear technology to the anti-American communist dictator of North Korea from which nuclear bombs can be produced. If the highly paid U.S. military generals and U.S. Secretary of War had dictated orders to regularly bomb the border to destroy the supply routes between China and North Vietnam, that would have resulted in a corridor that the U.S. military could have guarded between North Vietnam and China much like the way that U.S. troops invaded Europe at Normandy, France, from which the rest of Europe was eventually liberated from the armies of Nazi occupied Germany. China does not border Europe and could not have so readily profited from supplying arms to the armies of Nazi occupied Germany to assist a country that was occupied by enemies of human rights as China did and continues to do in Vietnam and Korea. Supplies would not have been able to be received in North Vietnam from China and the Vietnam would have ended quickly as North Vietnam was a country with a rural based economy and could not have fought off an onslaught by the U.S., the owner of the world's largest military. North Vietnam did not have large factories equipped to produce military arms so these arms were produced in China for North Vietnam so that North Vietnam could continue to fight against the U.S. and South Vietnam. Although American lives were lost and the fabric of American society was almost torn apart by citizens for and against the Vietnam war, the war was not fruitless as many have claimed as much fruit was reaped in the form of taxpayer money paid to military arms companies who supplied the U.S. military because that war dragged on for years and years as the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan now are being dragged on with no end in sight. Communist North Vietnam won it’s war with the aid of communist China which has resulted in many of the citizens of the rest of the free world not understanding the hypocrisy of the United States government as it states it will not trade with Cuba because it is communist but at the same time encourages the loss of jobs in the U.S. and the fall of the U.S. economy by encouraging one sided trade with communist China, along with trading with communist Vietnam that benefits the businesses that have their goods made in these countries to the detriment of American workers, the U.S. economy, the infrastructure of the U.S., to people who buy gas all over the free world, democracy, and to freedoms that we once took for granted in the U.S. China has used it's economic might to pressure the Lancome Company into removing Sharon Stone, the American actress, from advertising Lancome products in China because the Chinese government wanted Ms. Stone to be financially punished for exerting her right to speak freely when she stated that the recent earthquakes in China, which is an atheist country that forbids all religion, may be Karma for the oppressive and inhumane treatment of the deeply religious people of the country of Tibet by it's occupier, China. The Chinese government has also pressured the French government to take away the freedom to assemble and the freedom of speech from protestors in France, freedoms that the French adopted from the Constitution of the United States of America after the French Revolution, because protestors in France interrupted the relay of the Olympic Torch on it's way to China. The citizens of France who protested the relay of the Olympic torch in France seem to have an understanding about the lack of justification that is allowing communist China to host the Olympic Games, which were founded in Greece, the birthplace of democracy. That lack of justification for allowing China to host the Olympics seems to have been lost on the majority of most Americans as no pressure has been put on the U.S. Congress by the majority of Americans to place economic sanctions on China for it's one sided trading with the U.S. and it's violation of international human rights laws which the U.S. assisted in writing. China has threatened France with a boycott of it's products sold in China. France is a long time democratic ally of the U.S. that also helped to finance the U.S. war for independence from England which resulted in the founding of the United States of America. The current U.S. government has stated that it has issues with France because the French government would not send it's citizens into Iraq to engage in war in order to reclaim the properties of U.S. oil companies in Iraq. The Chinese government, in a show of it's new economic might supplied to it primarily by Americans buying goods made in China, stated that it would boycott all French products sold in China if France does not bow to the economic pressure being exerted upon France by China to conform to the communist doctrine of China where free speech and the freedom to assemble is not allowed and punish the protestors in France for engaging in their right to free speech and their freedom to assemble by no longer allowing protestors in democratic France to protest against communist China. It seems that a majority of the members of the current U.S. government are not willing to place economic sanctions upon China for it's treatment of Tibet, for the threats China has made to France, an ally of the U.S. and for China's one sided trade with the U.S. because the gravy train from the business lobbies that represent businesses that benefit by having the goods they sell in the U.S. made in China that fills the gift, travel, and campaign money troughs of the majority of the members of Congress might slow down and those members of Congress might end up having to go out and find second and third jobs as many Americans, who can find those jobs, are now having to do to make ends meet and to also try to pay for medical costs that have far outdistanced the rate of inflation in the U.S. The U.S. is one of the few countries in the industrialized world that does not offer a national health care system to the detriment of the unemployed, the working poor, those that work for companies that charge too high a health insurance premium or don't offer health insurance to their employees, and to those who come in contact with people who are carrying treatable communicable diseases because the people with those treatable communicable diseases could not obtain medical care without first having health insurance, or didn't have enough money spent towards their deductible to use their insurance without having to pay the full cost of their care after the bill arrived because the deductible wasn't met, or did not have the money for a bus or gas for their car and the time to wait for hours in line at health clinics that are primarily funded with charitable contributions as the majority of the members of Congress feel that it is more important to fund wars not defending U.S. soil than to take care of U.S. citizens as is evidenced by the large number of memorials spread across the U.S. to those mostly young men and women who died defending or liberating the soil of other countries so that U.S. businesses could continue to, or have the potential to, make huge profits in and from those foreign lands. The U.S. is losing jobs at the same time it's being drained of the tax money the U.S. Congress is filling the coffers with for the companies that make military arms in order that the U.S. military can fight two wars in two different countries that did not attack the U.S. In the more costly of the two wars as reported in the Press, the U.S. Congress, with the urging of the President, freely engaged the U.S. in the war against Iraq based upon what the President of the U.S. said about human rights violations in Iraq and mass weapons of destruction in Iraq, weapons which were not found before the U.S. went to war with Iraq during inspections done by representatives of members of the United Nations, the world governing body that President Bush has urged Americans to disengage the U.S. from even though the U.S. helped set up the United Nations and the rules it governs by, as the United Nations has indicated, by showing that it would not lie about there being mass weapons of destruction in Iraq like the President Bush did, that the United Nations can no longer be pressured by the U.S. government to exclusively do the bidding of U.S. business interests who engage in business conducted outside of the borders of the U.S. in order to maximize their profits. The President of the U.S. seems to want to disengage the U.S. from membership in the United Nations because it's inspectors in Iraq refused to lie about weapons of mass destruction as the President of the U.S. did which has resulted in the taking away of the personal property of citizens of Iraq and the death of citizens of Iraq because of the U.S. invasion of Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction that the world was already told by the United Nations that were not there. The President of the U.S. stated that the former leader of Iraq who engaged in taking away personal property of citizens of Iraq and the death of citizens of Iraq should be arrested, tried and executed for engaging in these practices although the President of the United States doesn't seem to feel he should be subjected to being arrested, tried and executed for engaging in the practices he accused the former leader of Iraq of engaging in. Thousands of people have been systematically tortured and executed during the current civil wars ongoing in Africa. People in Tibet, which includes nuns and monks, have been imprisoned and tortured by Chinese government officials. Torture is against the rules of the human rights rules that were set down by former members of the U.S. government. President Bush has stated that he approves of the torture of suspected terrorists outside of the U.S. on U.S. government property in Cuba, a country no U.S. citizen can travel to without getting permission from the U.S. government and this includes members of the Press that might seek to report on the conditions and the people being held in Cuba without due process of law. President Bush approves of using torture even if those being tortured are U.S. citizens who have been taken out of the U.S. and put in Cuba as people can be held there indefinitely by the U.S. government after being accused of being a terrorist or involved with terrorism by anyone who may wish to accuse another person of being a terrorist or involved with terrorism in a very similar manner in which people in the U.S. in the 1950s lost their jobs, couldn't find work and were sometimes held in contempt of Congress while being interrogated after being accused of being members of the Communist Party or communist spies in the 1950s by friends, co-workers, relatives and neighbors. The people who are also included, besides all citizens of the world and the U.S., who can be accused of terrorists acts or being involved with terrorists and then tortured by members of the U.S. government in Cuba, are those people who have become U.S. citizens or are trying to become U.S. citizens after they legally emigrated to the U.S. to escape being tortured in their own country when they tried to practice the human rights that the U.S. government says that it guarantees to it's citizens and the citizens of the world, except now if they happen to be accused of being terrorists. Funds are being appropriated by Congress to seek out and torture U.S. and other citizens of the world but the President has made no requests of Congress to appropriate funds to send military forces to liberate persecuted citizens in Africa and Tibet who are being tortured and who haven't even been accused of being terrorists by the U.S. government. President Bush stated, in a televised speech to America and to the world before going to war against Iraq that he said was to liberate the people of Iraq and give them democracy, that this act of aggression was not about oil. The majority of Americans believed what the President stated as the majority of Americans have been conditioned to believe everything the Press reports and what the representatives of the U.S. government tells U.S. citizens. Contrary to what the President of the United States said about not being about oil, going to war with Iraq with the U.S. military evidently was very much about oil. The President, in what seems very much in evidence to pay back the favors of campaign money he had received from U.S. oil companies, convinced the majority of Americans that he would continue to foster the propaganda put out by the U.S. government during the past two centuries plus the current century that the U.S. is a land of religious, morally upright people who want world peace when the reality is that the U.S. has been engaged in more wars in the history of modern civilization than any other country on earth. An unbiased look at world history shows that the U.S. never became involved in either of the major world wars even when the governments of countries that were longtime allies of the U.S. were overthrown by the aggressor in those wars and leaders of those countries asked the U.S. for help, until U.S. businesses began to see their profits severely hindered when trade with England, the largest trading partner of the U.S. during those times in history, was effectively cut off by forces from countries that had a long history of disputes with England after England made attempts to expand it's empire into fertile growing regions of Europe so that it would have food to feed it's empire because food can be used to control starving nations. This is a fact not lost on the U.S. government as many starving nations are currently in a condition of having starving citizens because food producers in those nations were put out of business because of cheap U.S. government subsidized food bought from the U.S., a country that subsidizes large agricultural corporations in the U.S. with taxpayer money that small farmers in those now starving nations, much like in the U.S., couldn't and can't fairly compete with and when the money runs out to pay for food coming from food exporters in the U.S., those countries don't get food for which they don't have money to pay for unless the U.S. government decides to give financial and humanitarian aid to to those countries that are sympathetic to the needs of U.S. business ventures in their country. England initially assisted the U.S. with it's war in Iraq after the majority of the United Nations refused to do so yet English made goods are rarely seen on U.S. store shelves. Billions of taxpayer dollars have been spent and American lives lost because U.S. oil businesses had a strong desire to regain the properties they had lost when Iraq nationalized it's oil. These companies may have acted like they were concerned about liberating the people of Iraq but these oil companies that had once been in Iraq and are now rebuilding in Iraq, are considered to be the major contributing factor as to how leaders unfriendly to the U.S. government came to power in Iraq as these companies exploited the labor and resources of Iraq and are large contributing factors as to why the people of America have become to be so despised by so many Middle Easterners who now support or engage in terrorist attacks on Americans although the U.S. government and the Press likes to make it seem that those attacks are because the U.S. supports the nation of Israel being a Jewish in an area of the world that is primarily Islamic. The U.S. government and the Press seems to forget to mention that the Jews that emigrated to Palestine were initially welcomed by the Palestinians until it became known to the Palestinians that England planned on dissolving their country and giving it to the Jews emigrating there much like the American Indians welcomed the first settlers until it was determined that the first settlers planned on taking over their lands and force the Indians off of those lands. It's been argued that the Jews were in that area of the world first where Israel now is but that was only after Moses led them there after leaving Egypt. The second time large numbers of Jews moved to a land which was named Israel after the Jews were given this land by England, large amounts of German scientific, industrial and agricultural technology along with German equipment and German technical help was given to Israel after the Allies cut Germany in half, gave the eastern part of Germany to the communist U.S.S.R. and demanded that the part of Germany not given to the U.S.S.R., pay war reparations for taking away the lands of Jews in Germany before and during World War ll, to the Jews in Israel to help them with the advancement of their nation. The Palestinians have been given no war reparations for being forced off their land by England and Israel and for being put under conditions where they live in conditions similar to the apartheid that once existed in South Africa. The Palestinians have not been helped with considerable financial and political assistance from the U.S. government and Zionist groups around the world to help them with the advancement of their nation as Israel has been and continues to be helped and the Palestinians have not been helped by Palestinian groups in the manner that the citizens of Israel have been helped as there are not large groups of Palestinian organizations in the U.S. and around the world as they don't have a large politically powerful number of citizens living in the U.S. and around the world as they did not leave their former lands in the large numbers that former citizens of the lands Moses led his people to did after they were conquered by other nations. Attempting to argue that who was there first should have control of a land is like arguing that all lands of the world should be given to it's original inhabitants, which science has determined from extensive studies of human remains all over the world, were primitive minded early humans so this sort of argument would seem to indicate that the lands of the world should be given to the President of the United States and members of his administration along with a majority of members of Congress as they've indicated that they possess minds quite similar to the primitive minds of early humans when it comes to the U.S. economy, engaging the U.S. in war and how the U.S. currently conducts itself in international politics. No call has been made by President Bush to engage our military in order to liberate the persecuted people of Africa and Tibet who would also like to be liberated so that they won't continue to be raped, tortured and killed by their oppressors. President Bush is well aware that the parts of Africa where the civil wars are taking place and that the country of Tibet don't have any important oil reserves that U.S. oil companies can tap into and profit from. Africa and Tibet also have not nationalized any properties that once belonged to the U.S. oil businesses that gave campaign contributions to President Bush during his runs for the Presidency of the U.S. to help along their cause of regaining the income producing properties and equipment they once owned or controlled in Iraq by any means possible even if it meant that the President would lie to American citizens and the world about mass destruction weaponry in Iraq. The other war the President engaged the U.S. in was begun after the President stated to America that the war in Afghanistan was about trying to find the leader of the terrorists who attacked the United States with it’s own commercial passenger airplanes on 9/11 but The President failed to mention that the U.S.S.R. had also been at war in Afghanistan for years and eventually pulled out after it decided that war could not be won because the people in Afghanistan didn't want the U.S.S.R. there as they quickly determined that the U.S.S.R. wanted to use their country as a base from which missiles and military forces could be launched from a strategic area close to the heart of China if China were to continue to show aggressive acts towards the U.S.S.R. as China had been engaged in doing during border disputes with the U.S.S.R. which borders China
