Asian Oriental Japanese Vintage Silk Kimono Quilt Fabric Scraps

 
Here is a bag of vintage silk kimono pieces, perfect for applique and piecing into quilts. (I recommend ironing freezer paper onto the back of silk to stabilize it while sewing; or use a lightweight woven interfacing to permanently stabilize it).

It's about 10 oz of fabric (silk is very lightweight) that fills a 10" x 11" bag.  There are about 40 different fabrics here, mostly small pieces.  Some of the pictures are shown with a ruler to get an idea of the size of the pieces.

Fabric is sold as is.

This next piece is jet black with the nice texture shown, but shows up gray due to the flash.

Many of these silks are left over from a class I took with Kumiko Sudo on applique with Japanese silk.  There are a couple of extra silk origami flowers and stems in the bag :-)

All fabric is from a smoke-free and pet-free home.
