Vintage Avon Consultant 76 Christmas Gift Stained Glass

Back in the 1970's, in high school, I was an Avon representative (where I bought more than I sold, LOL), and this is the gift that Avon sent to the consultants in 1976. It is a 2 piece window of stained glass, for tabletop display. The inner leaflet says: "Our gift to you this holiday is a distinctive and artistic memento. It portrays, in glowing colors, the California Perfume Company and its first Representative." The first Avon Representative "was Mrs. P.F.E. Albee, a widow from Winchester, New Hampshire who needed a way to support herself. She tirelessly traveled about the country selling products for David McConnell's tiny California Perfume Company. She also enlisted other interested women to become "Depot Managers", as representatives were called in those days. Mrs. Albee's initiative and ability paved the way for many women to achieve greater self-fulfillment through a rewarding occupation." The art of staining glass is thousands of years old. To display this piece to its best advantage, place where light will shine through it. This gift was designed exclusively for Avon Representatives and will never be sold. I'm selling this stained glass piece in its original packaging, with the original insert. I've never displayed it; it has been in the packaging since I received it in 1976. In excellent condition, and an important piece of Avon's history!
