This auction is for a vintage Ten Flowers mah jong set. Made of catalin bakelite, the set consists of 154 tiles: 36 each bams, craks and dots numbered 1-9, 16 NEWS winds, 12 dragons green, red and white four each, 10 bouqueted and sequenced flowers and 8 stickered jokers. The jokers are tiles that were selected to match the set and stickered. The joker stickers depict a picturesque pagoda from CHarli's Web. This set is ready for both Chinese and NMJL play.

The tiles measure 1 1/4 x 7/8 x 1/2 inches and are orange-butterscotch in color. Ten Flowers sets are known for good carving. The tiles are in good condition with good paint.

The set features the ten bouqueted and sequenced flowers from which the set takes its name.

There are five swirled burgundy catalin racks with metal stoppers and coin trays. These are nice heavy racks with bright, untarnished coin trays and the "pee wee" style flippies. A set of vintage counting coins, a vintage bettor and a pair of red dice complete the accessories.

A black faux alligator oilcloth case with an aqua felt lining and two tile trays stores the set. The case is in excellent condition. The handle and all the hardware work well.

The accepted method of payment is PayPal. Due to an increase in non-paying winners, I am requesting that bidders have a PayPal account in order to bid, but should you be an ebayer in good standing with a number of purchases, no strikes for non-payment and do not have a PayPal account, please contact me if you want to bid. We can work something out.

Domestic shipping with excellent, safe and secure packing with insurance to the continental United States for this set is $25.00. My sets are usually shipped within 2 days of payment using UPS 3 Day Ground, a much quicker and safer carrier (so you can get your new set as soon as possible- USPS Priority is much more expensive with this item.) However, a winning bidder's location might require the USPS. My quoted shipping cost for this heavy of an item with UPS Ground, meticulous packing and insurance is very reasonable. I can always modify shipping to a less expensive Parcel Post option, but it is a brutal and lengthy service. Let me know if you prefer Parcel Post. DO NOT PURCHASE ADDITIONAL INSURANCE AT CHECKOUT AS IT IS INCLUDED WITH THE COST OF SHIPPING.

Alaska, Hawaii, and international bidders must make contact with me prior to bidding.  International shipping from the United States will be through USPS Priority International with required insurance. If requested, I will investigate shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and international destinations and give non-continental United States and international bidders a quote for shipping to their location or country during the auction. Customs-related charges and any duties on the item are paid by the winning bidder upon notification and receipt of the item from their country's postal service. International winners must pay with PayPal and need to wait for a Priority International shipping-adjusted invoice before making payment. Alaska, Hawaii or international shipping expense will be invoiced after the auction.

Contact regarding payment must be made within 3 days of winning the item and payments must be received within 7 days. Seller reserves the right to relist the item if these conditions are not met. If the item is lost or damaged, contact the seller immediately to obtain insurance information. If the item is shown as delivered, there is no lost item refund. No returns on this item.
