Hi, Everyone! This auction is for a vintage glass beaded handbag or purse (I do not know the difference, being a guy). It says on the tag on the inside that it was made in France, and that it was made for H.A. & E. Smith in Bermuda. I am not sure of the age, but I would place it in the '50's or 60's at the latest. It could be earlier, but you would have to tell me. The bag itself appears to be black satin or silk, although, in my pictures it seems to have some blue. That is just bad photography...it is jet black. The beads are silver, white, amber and black, with silver discs and pearls. There is a beautiful pattern on the front, and a simple, yet elegant, pattern on the back and sides. There are no rips or tears, and the bag seems to be in great shape. There are two set pearls for a clasp. The bag is sexagonal in shape, and measures approximately 6" across or from top to bottom.
