Vintage Bergamot brass-plt belt buckle Indian Scout

From PawPaw's collections, here is another vintage brass-plated belt buckle from Bergamot Brass Works in Wisconsin ... it is vintage new ... never been worn!

This buckle is round, 3 inches in diameter ... it has a copper plate in the center of the brass buckle ... figures of native Americans ... and reads 'Indian Scout' around the bottom ...

The reverse has the Bergamot logo but is not dated ... it would be sometime in the mid 1970s ... no identification number on this one ... it will hold a 1 3/4 inch belt ... beautiful condition with just a small amount of corrosion on the reverse that needs to be cleaned up ...

My in-laws were antique dealers in northern Illinois for years, and then both worked for an auction service for a long time.   They were collectors of almost every kind of historical memorabilia since shortly after World War II.  PawPaw could always find a lot more interesting items to bring home than he could sell, so he saved them! 

After Mimi passed away in 2005, PawPaw decided it was time to start sharing his treasures with others, and he entrusted me with listing them.  We lost our PawPaw on September 26, but I still have many, many of his vintage and antique collectibles that need new homes, and I will continue listing them as we have for the past four years.
