Vintage Bonanza Coloring Book

Here is a Vintage Bonanza Coloring book in Very Good Condition. 64 Pages. The picture of Ben, Adam, Hoss and Joe on there horses does not look clear in the photo I took but I assure you they are very clear. There is no date on the book. Inside front cover it reads: drawings by Norton Stewart MCMLX by National Broadcasting Company Inc. All Rights reserved. New York- The Saalfield Publishing Company-Akron, Ohio 44309.

The first coloring page has a letter which reads: The history of the part of the United States known as the "Old West" is an exciting, romantic story. One of the most vibrant hues in this colorful tale was splashed over Virginia City, Nevada, settled in 1859, when the Comstock Lode, one of the world's richest mining strikes, was discovered. Bonanza, the story of the Cartwright family, is woven into this fascinating history.

Many of the stories and taverns lining Virginia City streets remain unchanged, and some of the buildings have been transformed into museums that contain relics of the pioneer days. Now in Virginia City, there is only a whisper of the clamor that rang in its streets when it reached its peak population of about 25,000 in the latter nineteenth century. In 1950 the population was 603. The pages of this book reflect the spirit and wonder of the "Old West" and Virginia City, as it is kept alive in stories like Bonanza.
