Vintage Bristol Silver Co Silverplate Ice Bucket, 1950s

We believe this ice bucket is circa 1950s.  It is marked Bristol which was a division of Poole begun in the 1950s.  There is no Poole Silver mark so it may be a piece that can be dated just prior to the 1950s.  We were not able to find much history on Bristol Silver.

This was an estate find and in very poor condition when we received it.  We spent a considerable amount of time polishing this piece and it responded beautifully.  There are still some traces of polish to be removed and a little more elbow grease applied but the heavy lifting has been done for you.

It is still sealed with the glass insert and could be as functional today as it was probably 60 years ago.  Heavy ornate legs and a rope twist border.  Really beautiful vintage piece and just in time for the holidays.
