Welcome!  

Up for your consideration is a vintage Chicago Northwestern Railroad lantern with an embossed globe.   This fine lantern would make a grand addition to your railroad lantern collection.   

Description:   Vintage C & N railroad lantern with clear globe.   It was made by the Adams & Westlake Company and has dates that go back to 1890 on the top of the lantern.   The lantern does not have a wick but the wick adjustment does turns freely.   

Approximate measurements:   Measures 16" tall including the handle, 9 1/4" tall not including the handle.   The base has a 6 3/4" diameter.

Markings:   C & N Wry,  Adams & Westlake Co.,  Adlake Reliable.   ((on top of lantern) along with dates that go back to 1890)     C&NWRy   (embossed on globe) 

Condition:       Very good condition.   The globe does not have any cracks or breaks but does have a few very minor chips around the rim.   The wick adjustment turns freely but does not have a wick.   The bottom of the globe is fine but the top has some surface rust.   See pictures.    See description above for further info on the condition.   

Additional information:    Keep in mind that when dealing with any vintage cast item that there may be casting flaws.   I will declare all major casting flaws that I find.   Contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Shipping & Insurance:   Extreme care will be taken in packing your item.   Alaska and Hawaii contact me for a shipping quote.   If the address that I receive from e-bay is an unconfirmed address then I will need you to verify the address that you want your item shipped to.   Your item will not be shipped until I receive this information.   Shipping discounts are available with combined purchases.   Contact me for the details & limitations.    Insurance is required for all items over $20.00.   Some items may be disassembled for shipping. 

Payment:    Payment is expected within 7 days of the end of the auction.  

Returns:   Item(s) are sold "as is".  I will refund the purchase price only, shipping cost both ways will not be refunded.   I will refund only if item was incorrectly listed or misrepresented in the description.   You must contact me within 3 days of receiving the item before any refund will be considered and before return shipment occurs.   In which case the item or items must be returned in the same condition in which they were shipped.
