This is a very heavy carabiner hook with a screw lock. It also has a gold tag with the number 99 on it. I don't know what color it started as , but it has been painted gold. There is a piece of tape around one section but doesn't seem to be any damage. It is marked "Austria". It's got to be steel as it is very heavy. Measures just under 5" length. There is a screw lock and the hinge springs shut. I hope I described all that correctly; I've never heard the word "carabiner" before. Thanks!!!
