Casio SK-1 Sampling Keyboard. Keyboard is in good shape and works fine. There are some cosmetic scuffs, mostly on the underside, and a few on the top. Auction is for the keyboard only. NO AC adapter, batteries, or manual included. I already own one of these that I bought back in the 80s, and this is an extra one I just picked up. These keyboards are really cool and a lot of fun. It includes an internal microphone that records a few seconds of what you speak or record into it. Then you play that back "the sample" on the keyboard as a musical scale altering the sound of the sample according to what note you hit. You really can get some real crazy sounds out of it. We use to growl into it and then play the growl samples back and use it for industrial noises that would fit into the key of jams and improvisations. great for crazy sound effects. Or if you like you can sample sections of music and use it in a more traditional manner by plugging a microphone or using the line in jack. It also has a storage bank so you can record longer passages on it, and play over it. There are a lot of interesting things that can be done with it. The normal preset sounds like piano, flute, pipe organ, trumpet, human voice, etc are decent sounding as well. I always liked the portamento effect on this unit. Has a 1/4" and 1/8" line IN inputs and a 1/8" line OUT output jacks and an AC Adapter jack. Shipping is $10.00 in the USA. Thanks for Looking! |
