Antique Vintage Catholic Holy Card of the Holy Child Jesus A really eye catching picture of the Child Jesus looking at a large globe as He points to it. In the background behind Him is a city near the water. There are airplanes in the sky above. There are several books next to the globe, and a rolled up scroll with the wording " Ubi Caritas et Amor Deus ibi est " which seems to be Latin for " Where charity and love are, there is God ". This would have been a favorite picture for the nuns to give to school children! This picture is by the beloved Catholic artist, Mother Margaret Mary Nealis . She did many beautiful paintings around the 1930's. I have more vintage holy cards with her artwork listed on ebay. 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" . The back of the card is blank but at the bottom it reads (Copyright symbol) Convent of the Sacred Heart , Sault Montreal - Lithographed in Canada. The artwork is sweet and traditional in style. A wonderful treasure from years gone by! Its in perfect condition!
