This is an interesting piece I’ve never seen before!  We come across quite a bit of Cloisonné in our travels, but this is the first Tissue box cover I have ever seen!  I don’t believe it is an “antique”, but it is not new either.  It measures approx. 9 ¾” long, 5” across, and about 2” high.  It has a long slot in the top and accommodates a standard size  Kleenex box.  

          The enameling is done on a brass mounting and has a very pretty scene of Birds among Dogwood branches.  The inside is heavily enameled with the traditional medium sky blue.

          It is in Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks.  What a pleasant surprise for the person with Asian décor!
