Vintage Chinese Red Army Broadsword Sword Hacking Knife

It measures about 90cm long and weight 1520 grams. The Broadsword DaDao (lit. Big Knife), one of the varieties of dao or Chinese saber, is also known as the Chinese great sword. Based on agricultural knives, dadao have broad blades generally between two and three feet long, long hilts meant for "hand and a half" or two-handed use, and generally a weight-forward balance.

This particular Dadao is in exceptionally good condition expect for some rusty spot. The sword is 90cm long . The blade measures 59 cm and The blade is sharp. The forged steel blade has a heavy patina. No nicks or repairs. The tip is in good condition. This sword features a decorative cupped hilt made of bronze or brass.
