Hard to find ceramic figurine of Tom {one half of the MGM duo Tom & Jerry, cartoon/comic book characters} made by Coventry China, USA.
These Coventry figurines are fairly uncommon, we didn't find any on the closed auctions, but did find a similar one (tom w/ the top hat planter) on a toy/character web site for $225.
This Tom is about 6-3/4" tall & 5-1/2" across the base widest point.
Lovely soft coloration, darling facial features.
Marked on bottom w/ the Coventry USA circle logo, & "Tom" & the number "8000".
Almost excellent condition -- there is ultra-fine all over crazing, most noticeable in the white areas-- there is a tiny fleabite on the edge of his left ear, close-up pic provided. Two or three very light surface scratches in the gray area, left hip mostly.
None of this is serious enough to detract from this fab hard-to-come by figurine.
