Vintage Desktop Personal Computer Wang?

There are no tags on the computer stating make or model, but the keyboard (clean and working) and the video tape that both will be included are marked “WANG.” The VHS tape adds “EXEC SERIES SETUP VIDEO.” The person that gave me this computer said it was a Wang but I have no way to prove it. The hard disk drive is broken, it makes a disturbing clicking noise and won't boot. I tried a Windows 98 installation disk and got a window stating it could not install Windows 98 because; no hard drive, malfunctioning hard drive, or hard drive needs special drivers. Hard drive is present, it is a Western Digital Caviar 540.8 MB unit. Key switch is on and plugged into the motherboard, no key included. Can access BIOS, that gives the following specs:

I can add the following info: 150W power supply, 8X CD-ROM, looks like it is an AOpen AP53 motherboard with 4 PCI and 3 ISA slots, processor socket is marked “SOCKET 7,” generic VGA Driver (ISA card), and Multi-Tech MT1432BC modem (ISA card). All the chips with date codes were manufactured in early to mid 1996, so the computer was made no earlier than late 1996. All in very good cosmetic condition, clean but some dust in crevices. Measures about 19” wide x 17” deep x 6-1/4” tall; 32#, 11 oz total net weight.
