Description: We are pleased to present to you a rare Elgin Ameican compact that features a rhinestone encrusted turtle. The lid of the compact features a beach scene complete with lobster, starfish and a stunning turtle. The turtle features white rhinestones on his head and shell. The center of his shell features a gorgeous red stone. This compact is marked ELGIN AMERICAN. Inside, you will find the original Elgin American applicator and the mirrored lid. Underneath the applicator is the marking. The gold tone metal is showing darkened spots on the lid, as well as, the backside. Perhaps, this could be treated, but I am not sure. Nonetheless, this is a beauty. This is a rare piece!
