A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
The item came from a surplus auction at the University of Missouri. Supposedly from the school of engineering. I have quizzed my engineer friends and no one seems to know what it is.
It si 18 inches tall and 4 inches square. The top appears to be made from a tin can. Must be from the days when public universities were short on funding and made their own.
It has a 400 watt light bulb inside the "tower." From the appearance it does get hot. I do not have a three pronged electrical receptacle that will accept this plug so I cannot test it.
It is obviously hand crafted.
I have quizzed my engineer friends and no one has a clue what it is. Is there an ebayer out there who knows?
Good bidding and thank you for shopping Quiet Canyon Mercantile.
