Up for auction is a large vintage black leather satchel-style purse from FRYE.
Awesome bag! Genuine leather. Nobody does leather like Frye...thick and durable yet buttery soft, smooth and rich. Made in Columbia. Handy side pouch pockets; one with tab and snap fastener, other open top with the FRYE double F logo symbol stamped into the leather. Two shoulder straps rolled in center and stitched for strength. Top of bag has leather tab with snap fastener.
Inside is fully lined in silky black nylon and divided into two large compartments with full-length, full-width zippered pocket. Front compartment has pouch pocket, five card slots, deep open pocket and three pen/pencil holders. Back compartment has large zippered security pocket with FRYE label attached.
LARGE SIZE! Measures about 12 inches in width, 10 inches in height and 4 inches in depth. The "drop" from the top of the straps to the top of the bag is about 11 inches. If you carry it over your shoulder, it tucks securely right up underneath your arm.
A recent "find" at a high-end New York estate sale, this FRYE bag is in good condition for it's age. It is exceptionally well made, as are all FRYE leather goods. All the seams are nicely finished and all the stitching is tight and secure. No rips, tears or holes, either in the leather or in the linings. No deep scratches or gouges in the leather. Has some surface scratches/marks/scuffies and shows signs of use and wear as one would expect in a vintage leather bag, otherwise A-OK. Any variations in color, white or shiny spots seen in photos are camera flash reflections, and NOT a defect in the color of the bag.
