This is a collection of vintage file cabinet name plates.  They appear to be of the quality of Bakelite, however other pieces found in the workshop of similar texture turned out to be plastic, so I will leave that open to interpretation.  The flame test for Bakelite is too dangerous for me to risk it.  I've also enclosed an inside view of the design numbers listed inside each plate.  Dating from about the 1940-60s.
