This auction is for a French house number 231 - centre right of above image. It is made from vitreous enamel fused onto sheet steel. Heavy gauge - unlike modern versions this one can't be bent easily. Very durable. Made in 1960s. 4" high 6" wide. This is the real thing from a real house in real France. Not a copy, not made yesterday. From a house in Picardy. Around four thousand house numbers in stock at the last count - large, small, old, high, low, enamel, cast metal, bell metal, convex, flat, French, Australian, Japanese, German, Belgian, UK. Please let me know on ivor@frantique.fsnet.co.uk if this is not the number or style you require. But I have few numbers higher than #600. All numbers accurately described - I do not try and mislead customers by applying euphemisms such as "authentic" or "traditional" or "original" or "vintage" or "style" to pass off cheap repro items as the real thing. This auction is for the number 231 pictured in the gallery and centre right on this page and nothing else. Please see my other listings. USA/Canada, rest of world shipping free of charge. PayPal, UK/GBP bank transfer. Please see my other listings if you like French signs and numbers. |
