Seller's descriptionHere is a very sweet figurine of a boy who has gone fishing. This porcelain bisque fellow sits on a burly piece of wood representing a fallen tree by the river. The wood is screwed into a wooden base. The little boy sits on the twisted wood. He wears a cap turned sideways, blue shirt and pinkish red pants. His bare legs have fallen ankle socks and black shoes. He holds a piece of wood representing a fishing rod. A wooden spike holds the porcelain boy on the wood. Impressed on his behind is "Patented, Germany". The figurine measures 5 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in diameter at the base. His clothing and facial features are beautifully handpainted. I believe this is circa 1920-1930. This would make a great gift for the fishing lover, or to add to your bisque figurine collection. It is mint condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing. A great piece for your home or office. Please buy with confidence, for this item is returnable if not as described. For more great vintage porcelain, visit my ebay store.
