this Rare Deluxe 90 trumpet.
This Getzen 90 Trumpet is in very nice shape!
Getzen’s are superbly crafted horns and have some of the quickest & most responsive pistons in the industry. This is an Pro Trumpet.
Serial # is 17XX9 (Pre. 1963)

"These horns make fabulous lead/solo/jazz horns They exhibit amazing flexibility & responsiveness and can scream in the upper register. Add to this a set of the best short throw valves in the industry, and you have a pro powerhouse that will handle any music style or acoustic venue with superb results".  Definitely a pro horn, Ultra thin brass bell. The Getzen Super Deluxe was basically the same horn with a lighter bell and copper fittings. The 90 plays focused and full. It will perform well in almost all settings and doesn't break up too much at loud volume. It would still list as a pro model and it compares very well to the current Getzen Eterna".

Getzen’s records were lost in a fire in 1963 so Getzen’s prior to this date e.g. the Supers cannot be accurately dated.

The Getzen 90 Deluxe is a professional horn. Horn is bare brass with nickel trim.
 Condition overall 7 out of 10
Piston & compression condition is 7 out of 10 (Normal moderate usage)
Caps, springs, cork & felt condition 8 out of 10
Plus, check out the unusual water key levers.

Apart from some minor pitting, and a couple of  minor dings, and a dent that was professionally removed from the bell, that has left some slight creasing on the underside of the bell there is no other damage present on the horn.
All slides move freely, Bottom sprung pistons in good condition.
Two of the connections to valve #3 were re-soldered at some time; Trumpet has a great case, & comes with a Vincent Bach 7c mouthpiece (good)

The Getzen 90 Deluxe are made with solid Nickel & Brass, NOT plated like modern horns.
