Sloped Shoulder Acoustic Dreadnaught I was told this is a LG series from the early 1950's, I think 1955. Serial number is pretty faded but it looks like W 1722, that may or may not be correct. At the widest part of the body it is about 14 1/2"s. Overall the guitar is in good shape for it's age. Don't see any wood cracks, splits, holes, gouges etc. No neck reset. Frets look original and in pretty good shape. Just looks like normal wear for this guitar. Hopefully by the pictures you can tell it has been played a lot. It was brought to my attention that the tuners have been replaced. The ones on it now are supposed to be origional Gibson tuners from that era. If you look at the pics. I think you will see where the screw holes are from the origional tuners. Top is solid spruce, natural finish. Sides, back and neck are solid mahogany in dark brown finish. Comes with a pretty nice TKL hardshell case. I will let this run for a while and see what happens. I am not sure what it might be worth to the right person but I will entertain all reasonable offers. I have mixed emotions about selling it but I just don't play much anymore. If you do buy it it is yours. No returns accepted. Ask any questions before sending offers. Thanx! I don't keep a lot of big boxes around the house because they take up to much space so if it gets sold it may take me a day or two to find a box for shipping. Local pickup would be preferred. |
