Up for bid is a Frank Holton Eb Tuba built in Chicago between 1912-13 according to serial# records which is 161XX.Stands about 331/2" tall and the bell diameter is 19".For a 96 year old horn, this is amazingly in good condition with only a few minor dents and dings and scratches. It has a nice and crisp engraving and on top is engraved Sherman Clay and Co.which means that this was built for that company. The valves are fast and only the third slide is tight but I'm trying to pull it.There are also 2 braces that will need to be soldered and I will leave it to the winning bidder. One of the water keys is new and all the felts on the valves are new. This tuba will accept a smaller mouthpiece shank like every old Eb tubas. It don't have mouthpiece but we tried a trombone mouthpiece on it and it has a huge big sound maybe due to its big bell.No case but will be carefully handled in shipping.USPS will not accept this size so this will only go by Fedex,DHL,or Greyhound.Check the pictures and ask questions before bidding.Being sold as-is with no reserve.Thank you for looking. No International bidders please due to to the size of the item, and shipping outside US may cost you a fortune.
