This is an early bag from JANE SHILTON, which was established in London in 1933.  The exterior is lizard or reptile leather in shades of gray.  Interior is tan sueded leather.  It features 3 interior pockets and the small mirror included with the purse.  The clasp is a wonderful sculptural piece made of gold tone metal with reptile leather detailing.

 

 

It is in VERY GOOD CONDITION with light to moderate wear & soiling.  No tears, no musty odors.  Skin is nice and supple.  Interior suede lining has light to moderate wear & soiling - used, but not abused.  The handle is missing a few stitches at the center on the top side (where two pieces of skin are joined),   all stitching along the sides of the handle top and on the leather underside and where the handle attaches to the metal hardware are fully intact.

This is a BEAUTIFUL find in unbelievably FABULOUS shape for its age.  It has clearly been stored and maintained properly over the years!
