FIRST TIME BUYER

HalfPrice searches out great bargains and sells a wide variety of merchandise at the lowest prices. Because of the diverse nature of our products, we sometimes do not know the history of some of the items we sell. Often these items are in new and/or perfect condition, but some items may be new but without their original packaging, may be used and/or incomplete (that is, not having all its accessories). HalfPrice is unable to test and check each item beyond our initial observation of the physical condition and, in some cases, whether or not the unit operates. It is equally difficult for us to determine whether or not every option on our items functions perfectly. Despite all observations by our employees, your product may not be what you expected or it may have issues beyond what was observed. Please carefully consider this information and bid accordingly. There is always a potential for uncertainty.

The winning bidder agrees that this is an "as-is" auction and therefore no warranty is intended or implied, unless stated otherwise.

SHIPPING AND INSURANCE

Payment via PayPal must be completed within 5 business days of the auction ending date. We ship via UPS Ground in most situations. For larger items, a commercial freight carrier may be used. Buyer pays shipping and handling when applicable. Shipping quotes are based on the actual published rates currently charged by UPS or whatever shipping carrier we use. Additional charges by UPS (such as rural delivery charges and fuel surcharges) may be applicable depending on your location. HalfPrice reserves the right to use the identical services of any other national shipping carrier (UPS, DHL, FedEx or USPS) without prior notification or written consent. Should you choose to decline shipping insurance you accept full responsibility for all damages or losses incurred in the shipping process.

COMBINED SHIPPING

HalfPrice has developed a system that usually works to everyone's satisfaction. After you win multiple auctions, you are allowed to combine your items automatically through our checkout system, which will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of winning any auction. HalfPrice offers combined shipping on multiple purchases in order to save our customers as much money as possible. Due to the variation of products on our website, which range vastly in size, weight and fragility, the combination of products might not result in dramatic savings for the buyer. LOCAL PICK UP

Our location is near Santa Barbara, California. Customers may pick their merchandise up locally to save on shipping fees when or if permitted. However, handling fees still apply. Local Pick Up customers must have completed the checkout process prior to arriving at the facility. No payment will be accepted at our warehouse. All local pick up customers will also be required to present a valid form of photo ID (driver's license or credit card) with the identical name that appears on their eBay account. Customers will be required to sign for the product before leaving the facility. Please email us () for pick-up arrangements and hours.

PAYMENT

Payment for all items is due within 5 business days of the auction's ending date. HalfPrice will send an e-mail reminder if payment has not been made within 3 days.

RETURN/REFUND POLICY

Please remember that all HalfPrice sales are "as-is." HalfPrice sells items in various conditions, from brand new and factory sealed to damaged and parts only. Please make sure you always read the condition of each item prior to bidding. All refund claims must be made within 7 days from receipt of product, and all requests must be in writing (). All returned items must be returned via the mail (USPS) or via an authorized delivery service and may NOT be dropped off in person. Any reimbursements by HalfPrice will be made via the payment method chosen by the customer when the item was purchased (i.e.: if you paid with PayPal, you will be refunded via PayPal). Please note that refunds may take up to 7 days to post to your account and may not be visible until your next month's billing statement.

REFUND MISSING ITEM

In the event that HalfPrice is missing or loses the auction item, a full refund will be given to the customer, including all shipping costs and packing/handling fees related to that item.

REFUND INCORRECT ITEM

In the event that a customer receives an item different than the item that appeared at auction, the customer will be fully refunded for that item including all shipping costs and packing/handling fees related to that item as well as return shipping costs. In order to receive this refund the customer must contact HalfPrice and send the item back in the same condition that it was received.

REFUND SHIPPING DAMAGE

If the customer receives an item, and the item and its packaging is damaged in transit, the customer should first contact the carrier and file a claim.

HalfPrice sells items in various conditions from new to damaged. In the event that an item is damaged beyond the condition stated at auction, the customer may claim up to the amount of the winning bid, plus all shipping costs and packing/handling fees related to that item up to the amount of insurance purchased on the package. In order to receive this refund the customer must contact HalfPrice and return the item in the same condition and in the same original packaging that it was received.

REFUND BUYER'S REMORSE

In the event that a customer wishes to return an item within 14 days, for ANY reason that is not mentioned above, the customer must contact HalfPrice and return the item back in the same condition that it was received. HalfPrice will refund the full purchase price for the item minus a 25% or $5 restocking fee (whichever is higher). HalfPrice will NOT refund any shipping, packing or handling fees. Unless the item was personally picked up at our location, all returns must be sent by mail or delivery service, to confirm receipt, and may not be delivered in person.

REFUND UNAUTHORIZED RETURN

In the event that HalfPrice receives any returned item without prior written acknowledgment, HalfPrice will refund the full purchase price for the item minus a 30% restocking fee. HalfPrice will NOT refund any shipping, packing or handling fees.
