All of our postcards are authentic originals. Our mint, unused linen postcards are old store stock in unhandled condition, unless described otherwise. The colors are bold and any linen like weave shown in the photos is exaggerated by the camera flash. Linen postcards were produced in the 1930s through 1950s. Most of the cards were made from original photographs, which were later retouched, and colored in using the 5 color process. Linen postcards were actually printed on a card stock paper with a fabric pattern that resembles linen.
