Vintage Embroidery Tablecloth




This is a lovely unused vintage linen tablecloth from a bridal trousseau that dates to the 1930-40 era. Our elderly neighbor is allowing us to sell her unused linens now since her family is not interested in them and she needs a little extra income. This tablecloth has no holes or stains from use there are however some light storage marks along the fold lines in a couple of places. We have not laundered or spot treated this tablecloth and should you want to use it as intended on a table I would say based on my experience laundering linens that an over night soak in mild detergent will remove the storage marks. It does have a dusty odor and needs a bath if it is to be used. It is being offered here "as found" but we think it is in very good condition.

This is a lovely old art deco scrolled floral & feather fern pattern embroidered with cotton silk thread in white, pink, salmon & green then accented in black. The cream colored linen fabric itself is blended with another thread that feels more like silk or nylon and gives this tablecloth a soft fall from the table edge. I would recommend that it be laundered by hand after a soak and then line dried. It is edged with a vintage style 1/2" machine lace.

The tablecloth is an ample size of 59"W X 76"L and is shown here on a five foot table.
