Description:


Rare vintage Pre-War II Meccano Hornby-Dublo OO gauge Tin Brake Van. Made of litho tin body, painted tin roof and black cast metal chassis and wheels. Raised legend on bottom of van reads: "HORNBY // MADE IN ENGLAND BY MECCANO LTD." Made in England by Meccano Ltd., ca, late 1930's.

4-1/4" (11 cm) long.

Van has some minor markings here and there, the paint of roof is slightly melted on one edge, probably repainted (See pictures). Some roof paint covers upper part of van body (See pictures). It comes with part of its original cardboard box, as end flaps are missing (See pictures). Otherwise, very fine overall condition.
